I might be a person who always put the big hope in my life, and in the end I might lose my hope. As I felt right now, I didn't get any phone call from my crush in the beautiful sunny day. It was Saturday, my free time. Yes, I am Hana, I worked for an oil company. I was from Asia. I moved here because I got the duty to replace an employee in London's Branch. So, today I wanted to escape from my routine and my crush who didn't call me at all, as I remembered that last night, he was really nice to me. Strange.
"Oh come on!!!" I said angrily. It was my third time to try my credit card. It seemed like the system was broken. There was no notice from the ATM machine and I just could stand like an idiot person trying to go to my fourth time.
"Excuse me..." Someone poked me from behind. I immediately turn my body and face... him. Yes, he was a man. As you knew that now, I was in South Bank station to go to Manchester. I wanted to visit my friend who lived there.
"Yes?"
"Do you need any help?" I couldn't answer. I really needed help. I nodded then he helped me to fix things in the ATM.
"Ah, this is the problem." He mumbled. It seemed like I had ever seen him in a picture, but I forgot where I saw that picture.
"So, what's the problem?" I finally asked.
"It got problem on the button area. There's a broken thing in the number '3' button." I nodded and he let me to try once more. Magic! The machine could work well. Then, I took some money and thanked him.
"Hey!" he called me again. What now?
"Yes?" I asked and came towards him.
"You left your card." He gave me my credit card and I thanked him again and walked away.
I walked for about 5 meters and suddenly I remembered that this was my first time going to go to an adventure. It was 3 months already, but I was too afraid to go to the city other than London.
"Excuse me..." Now, I came to him and asked the information about how to go to Manchester from this station. He explained very clearly and he seemed like a lovely person to meet at the first time.
"I'm Dan, by the way..." He introduced himself and I was confused of it. I finally introduced myself after keeping myself in silence for 10 seconds.
"I am Hana." Said me. I smiled, he smiled back.
"Actually..." He spoke again when I almost wanted to leave the ATM place.
"Yes?"
"I wanted to go to Manchester too. I have to meet my friends. Do you want to join?"
"Hmm, sure... If it wasn't bothering you at all..." I exclaimed.
"No. Not at all. It's lovely to have someone spend the time in a tube." He smiled friendly. I felt something weird moving in my stomach. He was very handsome, actually. He had messy hair, he used a pair of glasses and he wore casual clothes. He was wearing red converse shoes, a grey hoodie, and black jeans. He had square face and sharp nose. His face was very calm.
"Okay..." that was all I could say. Then we walked through the rush hour of London's station today. We walked and talked about everything. His worked, his destination and his friends he wanted to visit. Then, we have to wait for the tube. While I was waiting with him, I scrolled through my twitter and found some fancy event to visit, whether it was music, film or culture festival. When I reached the event called Big Weekend from BBC Radio 1, I realised that something was going on here. I was with a vocalist from a band, called Bastille.
"Wait a minute!" I exclaimed and he turned his face.
"Yes?" He answered like there was nothing happened with me.
"Are you Dan Smith from Bastille?" I asked, there was no answer for 10 seconds.
He smiled and nodded. I just stood there awkwardly. What happened to my life today? Walking around with a stranger and getting help from him. In fact, he was a famous person. I stood there and the tube was coming. We entered and he held my hand. What a life!
