JANUARY

Nina was sitting down and watching her laptop. Sometimes, she opened the books in front of her. She had to study for exam in the beginning of January. How awful she was! Nina was trying to be as good as possible for exam. She wanted to get high score for her last exam of 3rd semester. All she could do was studying, without it she couldn’t do well. At least, she got idea how to fill the answer sheet.
It was time for exam. She got a week for exam. She was trying so hard doing the exam. Then, she could do it. A week had passed fast. Her face was full of smile. She was very happy because finally she got long holiday, but then she got confused as well. What would she do in the long holiday before facing the new semester? She got no idea.
Then, she sat on the bench of her bed. She was trying to think about the things she should do.
“Why don’t I write some stories? Maybe I could be a journalist as well.” She exclaimed passionately. After long time, she couldn’t write because she wanted to be serious for her collage. Now, she had so much time to do her habit or her hobbies.
“I could play some instrument and I could make a song or even some songs.” She smiled widely. Then, she opened her notebook to write all the things she wanted to do in her holiday. “Yes, I got my free online as well. Thanks God, you give me more idea.” She smiled again and continued her writing.
After a week, she was back to college to meet her lecturer. She wanted to take more University Credit Unit.
“You could take more UCU, but don’t forget to fill the form on February!” said her lecturer. She nodded and went out from the room. With her mate, she did her study together in the employee class.

When she was alone in her bedroom, playing with her smart phone, then she got some message which asked her to go on holiday together with her friends. First, she got a message from her Senior High School’s friends. Second, it came from her Junior High School’s friends and the last from her Collage’s friends.
She went to the first holiday. She went to one of the famous museum. It was all about the history of the bank. She was very happy, she took some pictures together with her mates from Collage.
“One, two, three, cheers…” she smiled widely with her friends. She took a lot of pictures. Spending the holiday under the sunlight which bright beautifully. She walked together through the park and the old way there.
On the next day, she continued her holiday. Now, she met her friends from Junior High School. There were five friends including her. She came to one of her friends who got her birthday. Yes, she wanted to celebrate her friend’s birthday with a little surprise.
“Happy Birthday, Jess!” She shouted together with her friends. Nina’s friends smiled and looked very happy when she got that surprise. “It’s not surprise yeah, it’s our little gift for you.” Nina said and her friends nodded. Yes, Jess had already known that Nina and her friends would come to her house.
On Saturday, Nina got another holiday, spending free time with her SHS’s friends. She played together and came to the hospital. She came to the hospital for seeing one of her friend’s mothers
“Get well soon, Ms. Edward.” Nina exclaimed following by her friends. Then, they continued their night together with having dinner with unusual food. They laughed together happily like they had not met for ages.

On the Saturday, she sometimes spent her holiday with collage, because she only got her lecture’s day on Saturday. She sometimes helped her mother to do the housework. She also did her new year’s resolutions for writing, writing, and writing. She also read some of the important books and kept improving her English through reading, writing, and translating some article.
At the end of January, her planning was coming to her previous SHS. She wanted to watch a music festival which happened every year in her previous school. When she came early to the school, then the festival had just begun. She sat and watched it happily. She got happier when she met her classroom mates there. They laughed together and sang along with the songs which the band brought for the audiences.
Such a lovely January! A month was full of joy, but sometimes Nina felt so lonely. She sometimes remembered a guy who had ever brought happiness into her life but now he was no longer close with Nina. Her mother was sometimes angry with Nina because of her laziness, but Nina got positive thinking of that. Without her mother advices, she thought she would be nothing and got no idea to be a better person.

COLORADO IN THE MORNING Rose’s “Huuaaaahhhh” bangunlah aku dari tidurku yang cukup lama ini. Hari ini sudah dua hari aku di Denver, Colorado setelah berpindah dari San Fransisco. Aku cukup lelah, masih lelah dengan semuanya. Tubuhku, hatiku dan semuanya. Ayahku bilang janganlah kau memikirkan terus masalah yang terjadi pada keluarga kita, ini bukanlah masalah, ini adalah ujian. Ujian, ya mungkin memang Dad bisa menangani semuanya, tapi aku ? Apa yang aku harus lakukan dengan hidupku dan hatiku. Akhirnya aku memutuskan untuk hijrah ke Denver Colorado, mencari apa yang aku inginkan. LOOKING FOR A NEW JOB Brent’s “I would runaway…. I would runaway with you..” Lagu Runaway dari The Corrs mengalun indah yang diputar di salah satu radio di Denver. Aku suka sekali lagu ini. Terkadang aku berpikir, bisakah aku bisa lari dengan seseorang yang aku cintai nantinya.
